EISI breaks out in 2005 with an expanded product offering

In a year when financial planning technology is moving online and web-based services are the new direction, EISI enhances the functionality and ease-of-use of its core product line, and introduces a new web-based platform.

"EISI has shown remarkable flexibility and foresight in the development of its NaviPlan product lines," says Dave McClure in his latest WebCPA software review.

"Its move into a Web-based solution enables even small firms to compete in the high-tech arena that financial planning is becoming. The NaviPlan family of products, meanwhile, retains its ease of use and strong feature set both online and off."

NaviPlan Central is the new, turnkey solution for firms that EISI has just added to its product shelf. It is a secure, cost-effective ASP platform (application service provider) that delivers collaboration tools, workflow controls, management reports, and Ibbotson asset allocation components.

For users of the familiar NaviPlan Standard and NaviPlan Extended planning tools, EISI has improved upon the browser-based interfaces for easy navigation, and built upon the levels planning concept to allow users to select the level of functionality they need.

With three levels of analysis, NaviPlan Standard provides a quick system to assess progress toward retirement, education and major purchase goals in order to determine whether existing savings plans can meet those goals.

Describing NaviPlan Extended as an extension of NaviPlan Standard, McClure notes that the application is for companies that have more complex planning requirements. "It provides a more comprehensive treatment of incomes, expenses, assets and liabilities; stock options and taxes; and small business planning for clients in the high- and ultra-high-net-worth market segments."
